Right to Life Masses

Notre Dame Right to Life Masses are held in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the first Monday of each month at 5:15pm throughout the academic year. Following Mass we will pray a Rosary for pro-life intentions at the Grotto.

A commitment to life must be sustained by a close relationship with Jesus. We encourage you to encounter Him in Mass daily. The Basilica Mass schedule can be found here.

Weekly Club Mass

Our weekly club Mass is in Stanford’s chapel on Fridays at 4 p.m. with Adoration to follow. We'll pray the Angelus and Divine Mercy Chaplet beforehand at 3:45, led by a member of the Knights of Columbus. Join us to pray for the unborn as we worship our Lord in the Holy Mass!

Eucharistic Adoration

Our greatest hope for transforming the culture of death into a new culture of life lies in the divine Author of that life. Eucharistic Adoration is not only efficacious in changing the world, but in preparing our own hearts for this great challenge. Stop by the chapel in Coleman-Morse from 10am - 5pm on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 10am - 8pm on Tuesday/Thursday for Eucharistic Adoration.

"Neither theological knowledge nor social action alone is enough to keep us in love with Christ unless both are proceeded by a personal encounter with Him [...] The Holy Hour becomes like an oxygen tank to revive the breath of the Holy Spirit in the midst of the foul and fetid atmosphere of the world."

- Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

End-of-Life Issues

Please contact Elizabeth Howe, an NDRtL alumna, at ehowe814@gmail.com to be added to her death row novena email list. She will send a reminder to pray a Hail Mary each morning for 9 days leading up to every US execution.

Patron of the Year: Pope Saint John Paul II

The NDRtL ‘24-‘25 Patron Saint is Pope St. John Paul II! He is well known for defining the global struggle in today’s increasingly secular world as the "culture of life" vs. the "culture of death". His resilience renewed the pro-life movement with a clear vision of human dignity and vocation, and motivated a new generation to stand up for the most vulnerable.

Prayers for Expectant Mothers

All loving God,

You created the human family as a reflection of your own divine life so that your creation might share in your happiness. Hear our prayers for your daughter who awaits the birth of her child. She has cooperated with you in giving life. Assist her now as she prepares to give birth to the child in her womb. May Mary be her guide and support, calming her fears and strengthening her love. May your daughter be filled with your peace and blessing so that she may bring her child into this world safely and in good health to the praise and glory of your name.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Gianna Beretta Molla (patron saint of mothers, physicians, and unborn children)

Lord of Life, we thank You for the heroic witness of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla. You have taught us that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for others. Saint Gianna did this, not only as she gave birth to her last child, but also in her everyday life as she died to herself so that she could live wholly for You. What selflessness we see in her! Help us, we pray, that through the intercession of Saint Gianna, our society may regain a sense of the sacredness of all human life. Fill us with her spirit of courage to suffer any struggle rather than deny You and the sanctity of human life. We ask You this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

54-Day Rosary Novena for Life

Starting October 7th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, members of Right to Life prayed a 54-day Rosary Novena. Feel free to join this novena at any time. Students can use the Hallow app (free for Notre Dame students), or follow this format to pray:

First 27 days: Petition

Opening Prayer: Hail, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At thy feet I humbly kneel to offer thee a Crown of Roses, snow white buds to remind thee of thy joys, each bud recalling to thee a holy mystery, each 10 bound together with my petition for a particular grace. O Holy Queen, dispenser of God’s graces, and Mother of all who invoke thee, thou canst not look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As thou receivest my gift, so wilt thou receive my petition; from thy bounty thou wilt give me the favor I so earnestly and trustingly seek. I despair of nothing that I ask of thee. Show thyself my Mother!

Pray the rosary.

Closing Prayer: Sweet Mother Mary, I offer thee this spiritual communion to bind my bouquets in a wreath to place upon thy brow. O my Mother! Look with favor upon my gift, and in thy love obtain for me my request.

Second 27 Days: Thanksgiving

Opening Prayer: Hail, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, my Mother Mary, hail! At thy feet I gratefully kneel to offer thee a Crown of Roses, snow white buds to remind thee of thy joys, each bud recalling to thee a holy mystery; each ten bound together with my petition for a particular grace. O Holy Queen, Dispenser of God’s graces. and Mother of all who invoke thee! thou canst not look upon my gift and fail to see its binding. As thou receivest my gift, so wilt thou receive my thanksgiving; from thy bounty thou hast given me the favor I so earnestly and trustingly sought. I despaired not of what I asked of thee, and thou hast truly shown thyself my Mother.

Pray the rosary.

Closing Prayer: Sweet Mother Mary, I offer thee this Spiritual Communion to bind my bouquets in a wreath to place upon thy brow in thanksgiving for my request which thou in thy love hast obtained for me.
